Software Switch ROI Calculator
Calculate the true cost and payback of switching contractor software. Includes onboarding fees, productivity drop during transition, and 5-year net savings — so you switch only when the math actually works.
The switching trap most contractors fall into
"ServiceTitan is too expensive — let's switch" is the most common mid-shop mistake. Switching looks free on a comparison table but the productivity hit during transition is real: 20-40 hours per user, plus onboarding fees, plus rebuilding workflows. This calculator forces the honest math.

Verdict
⚠️ The math eventually clears, but payback is over 12 months. Make sure the new platform actually solves a workflow problem — savings alone may not justify the disruption.

Pick your current platform and the one you're considering. The calculator pulls real 2026 pricing for each platform, factors in mandatory onboarding fees and the productivity hit your team takes during transition (typically 20-40 hours lost per user), and outputs payback period + 5-year net savings.
Formula Used
Annual Savings = (Current Platform Annual Cost) − (New Platform Annual Cost). Switch Cost = Onboarding Fee + (Users × Productivity Hours Lost × Burdened Rate). Payback (months) = Switch Cost ÷ (Annual Savings ÷ 12). 5-Year Net = (Annual Savings × 5) − Switch Cost.
