Our Mission

Help contractors and tradespeople find the right software, calculate their pricing accurately, and run more profitable businesses. We do this with free calculators, honest software reviews, and pricing benchmarks based on real industry data.

What We Publish

We strictly do NOT publish homeowner-targeted content. Everything is for the contractor side of the transaction.

How We Review Software

  1. 1. Business-stage framework. Every review segments by revenue and team size (solo, small crew, growing, established) with explicit dollar brackets and best-fit recommendations.
  2. 2. Real Year-1 cost math. Every review includes worked cost examples — base subscription × team size + onboarding fee + payment processing — for typical shop sizes in that trade.
  3. 3. Day-in-the-life walkthroughs. 3-4 timestamped moments during a typical workday across 2-3 platforms.
  4. 4. Trade-specific feature deep dives. 5-8 features that genuinely matter for that trade with explanations of why.
  5. 5. Honest cons. Every product has 5 detailed cons, not just generic minor gripes.

Our Editorial Policy: Match, Don't Steer

We earn affiliate commissions from most of the software platforms we review.That alignment matters: a contractor matched to the right tool stays subscribed longer, doesn't churn, and trusts our recommendations next time. Pushing a contractor to a more expensive tool than they need destroys all of that.

Every product on every review page gets the same trial CTA. We explicitly tell readers when the cheaper option is the right pick. We tell readers when to stay on their current platform instead of switching. We list real pricing — including the hidden fees vendor marketing pages omit.

We don't take paid placement, sponsored reviews, or vendor-written content. Read our full affiliate disclosure.

What We Won't Do

  • • Pretending sunset products are still active (we explicitly call out CoConstruct's sunset, for instance)
  • • AI-generated filler content — every review involves real testing
  • • Burying cons or only listing minor gripes
  • • Recommending tools we wouldn't actually use ourselves
