1. Information We Collect
Calculator inputs: Our calculators run entirely in your browser. The values you enter are never transmitted to our servers. Some tools save convenience data in your browser's local storage on your own device (for example, a history of calculators you've shared, stored under mct_calc_history) — this data stays on your device and we cannot see it. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Email addresses: If you voluntarily subscribe or request a guide, we collect your email address, the trade you indicated, and the page you signed up from. A backup copy of your submission is also kept in your browser's local storage (under mct_leads) on your own device. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Analytics data: We use analytics to understand how visitors use the site — pages visited, referring URLs, browser and device type, approximate geographic location, and interactions such as clicks on outbound software links. See Section 5 for the specific services.
Cookies: Our own site works without tracking cookies. Analytics services we use may set cookies (see Section 5), and third-party software vendors may set their own cookies after you click an outbound link to their site.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To send you email updates and guides if you subscribed (you can opt out anytime)
- To understand which pages and tools are most useful so we can improve them
- To measure which pages lead visitors to try software we review, so we can attribute affiliate referrals
- To monitor site performance and fix technical issues
3. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed in Section 5, who process it on our behalf. If you click an affiliate link to a third-party product, that company's privacy policy governs the data they collect from that point on.
4. Data Retention
Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Analytics data is retained per the retention settings of the services in Section 5 (typically 2–26 months). Local-storage data on your device persists until you clear your browser data.
5. Third-Party Services We Use
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-focused, cookieless page analytics (pages viewed, referrers, device type). Cloudflare does not use this data to track you across other websites. Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- Google Analytics 4 — usage analytics including custom events when you click an outbound software link (the page you were on, the software clicked). IP anonymization is enabled. Google may set cookies. Google's privacy policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Kit (ConvertKit) — our email service provider. When you subscribe, your email address, trade, and signup page are sent to Kit to deliver our emails. Kit's privacy policy.
- Web3Forms — a form-delivery service we may use as a fallback to route email signups to our inbox. Web3Forms' privacy policy.
- Affiliate link tracking — outbound links to software vendors include referral parameters (such as UTM tags) that tell the vendor the visit came from our site. This is how we earn commissions. It identifies our site as the referrer — it does not transmit your personal information from us to the vendor.
When you leave our site through any outbound link, the destination site's privacy policy applies. We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of any third-party service you visit.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below. To delete data stored in your own browser (calculator history, email backup), clear your browser's local storage for this site.
7. Children's Privacy
Our site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
